Eastern Tibet Tour (Fly in - Fly out)

TibetDay 01: Fly to Lhasa airport and transfer to Lhasa. O/n at hotel.

Day 02: Morning visit Potala palace, the seat of the both religion and politics in Tibet. It was built in the 7th century by Tibetan king Songtsen Gampo and later renovated by the 5th Dalai Lama in the 17th century. Afternoon visit Sera monastery 5 kilometer north of Lhasa city, it was built in 1419 by Jamchen Choejie, a disciple of Tsongkapa, the founder of the Gelugpa sect. Sera is one of the three major monasteries of yellow sect in Tibet. O/n in hotel.

Day 03: Morning visit Drepung monastery, which is the largest monastery of the Gelugpa sect in Lhasa, it was built in 1416 by Jamyang Choejie, a Disciple of Tsongkhapa. After visiting Drepung drive to Norbulingkha the Summer palace of the Dalai Lama which was built in 18th century. Afternoon visit Jokhang temple and Barkhor market, this is the holiest shrine in Tibet and houses of golden statue of the Shakyamuni Buddha, which was brought to Tibet by Chinese princess Wenchen. O/n at hotel.

Day 04: Drive Lhasa to Drigung till and visit hot spring and nunnery. O/n at guesthouse.

Day 05: Drive Trigung to Gyamda, Pasaumtso (Draksum Lake) 400 km that takes around 6 hours. O/n at Hotel.

Day 06: Drive Pasaumtso to Nyingte via Sikemla pass 4700m. O/n at hotel.

Day 07: Drive Bayi to Gyatsa via Lamaling Monastery. O/n at Guest House.

Day 08: Drive Gyatsa to Lhamolhatso (75 KM) that takes around 3 hours. O/N Camping or Guest house.

Day 09: Trek one hours to Lhatso Pass and drive to Gyatsa. O/N at Guest House.

Day 10: Drive Gyatsa to Tsedang (149 Km) that takes around 5 hours. O/N Hotel

Day 11: Sightseeing in Tsedang; Yumbulhakang and Tardruk Temple and Kings Tome. Yumbulhang is the first palace as well as one of the earliest constructions in Tibet. it was built in 2nd B.C. Tradruk Monastery is one of the earliest Buddhist Temple in Tibet history built in 641 A.D.

Day 12: Drive Tsedang to Lhasa Via Samye Monastery. It was built in the mid 8th century, Samye is the first formal Buddhist monastery with Buddha Dharma and Sanga in Tibet. O/N in Lhasa Hotel

Day 13: Drive to Lhasa airport for your flight to next destination.
